So Far, Just One By One

In addition to my current apartment’s charming overflowing-sink problems (not “the tap runs while the drain is clogged”, mind you, but the “backfilling with sewage” kind) I apparently now have some hopefully-minor ant-related issues.

Given the way this apartment’s worked out, I suppose I should be happy that my sink isn’t overflowing with ants.

I feel your pain and outrage, Mike. Did you take pics? Preferably with the date on them. I learned to do this in Kingston. When I’m operating (pun) at full speed I’ll try to get that saga documented for edification and well, just sharing the knowledge of things that can go wrong in a rental unit and how to deal with them.

I hope you’re not also, as I was, living in a basement unit with no (ahem) floor drain? Please say it isn’t so.

Ground level, thankfully, and last fall’s flooding problems didn’t affect me at all, so it’s not all that much of a calamity. But in “Stages Of Grief” terms, I’m way past step two. This apartment has me cutting straight from two to some resigned combination of four and five; I won’t be living here next fall.
