and detox for your rent&lt;p&gt;
overdose at Christmas&lt;p&gt;

my friends are all so cynical&lt;p&gt;

Somebody who upgrades their PC and finds out (because it doesn&#039;t warn you, that&#039;s for sure) that their network card suddenly doesn&#039;t work is going to be so very, very thrilled.

&lt;br /&gt;As a dialup user for years after everyone else moved to broadband, &lt;i&gt;and&lt;/i&gt; as having grown up in a country where connectivity was not nearly as widespread and automatic as it was for years after the US reached that point, I have never been entirely that trusting of update/repair schemes that require connectivity.  Because, well, see above.  When they work they work.  When they don&#039;t and you are not given any other option, now your world is pain.
