Los Advocados

Here’s my presentation. It’s in an .ogg format, so if you’re having problems seeing it you should probably get yourself the VLC media player.

Reviewing it, I see that in my attempt to avoid making clicking noises when I pause my speech, instead I say “uh” a lot.

I will remedy this in the future, thank you for your attention in this matter.

  1. You’re a very good public speaker (despite the “uh”s). Reminding geeks that technology is about helping PEOPLE is always worthwhile. Good work.

  3. Yeah, there was another symposium there by some guy who wanted to tell everyone that Linux was Here! It’s ready for the desktop! Everyone use it! And I lasted about five minutes into that talk before I had to leave. I was going to start yelling at him. Or showing him OpenOffice crashing, or power management going crazy, or some shit like that. But in the spirit of at the very least not making somebody’s life substantially worse, I decided that loudly shitting on his thesis wasn’t the thing to do.

  4. Thank you, though!
